Our name, Rettenwender, stands for the high quality of our house.

In the year 1965 the hotel Berghof opened its doors – it was the first in the region Alpendorf. Franz Rettenwender senior ran the hotel then and put all his heart and soul in it. He was one of the people to found the Alpendorf – Bergbahnen (cable car system).
The hotel Berghof has been run by Theresia and Franz Rettenwender junior since 1986, since then it has been one of the best family- and wellness hotels in Salzburg. The hotel has seen a lot of renovations and amendments and developed into a four-star superior hotel, in which you may relax and simply have a good time!

Business is a paying concern if the staff is. This is why we are doing everything to make you feel comfortable. Nice staff also contribute to your comfort/well-being!
